Power save Adjusts the power save mode of the GPS receiver. A high power save mode prolongs the battery life time but increases the risk to loose a GPS-fix during bad reception. ∆ During bad reception the GPS receiver disables automatically the power save mode. ∆ When the display of the pocket PC is switched off the the power save mode 8s-90% is automatically enabled. ● Default setting on Pocket Loox N560: off
Elevation mask Defines the minimum evaluation angle of satellites above the horizon to accept their signal for the position calculation. High values results into a lower position error but a GPS-fix is obtained later ● Allowed range: 0-30° ● Default setting on Pocket Loox N560: 5°
HDOP mask Filters all calculated position with a HDOP value greater than specified here. Low values results into lower position errors but a GPS-fix is obtained later. An inserted zero value disable this filter at all. ● Default setting on Pocket Loox N560: 0
Static navigation Fixes the position when no significant movements is detected by the GPS receiver. This option may result into wrong positions when the GPS receiver is used for slow walking or during a drift on the water. ● Default setting on Pocket Loox N560: Enabled
Track smoothing Smoothes the track generated by the received positions. This option is useful for GPS client programs showing tracks on a map. ● Default setting on Pocket Loox N560: Disabled
DGPS Enables the reception of WAAS oder EGNOS data to obtain a more accurate position. The reception of these signals works only under optimum conditions in practise and can be only enabled when the power save mode is disabled. ● Default setting on Pocket Loox N560: Disabled
