This tab adjust the communication between GPS receiver and GPS client program.

Output port
On this COM port receives a GPS client program the GPS data.
Only free COM ports between COM0: and COM9: will be offered.
A change of the output port will be only effective after a reset. Therefore the user will be asked after a change of the output port if he wants to perform a reset.

Test
Verifies if the GPS data source specified within GPS port operates correct. If a GPS receiver using a SiRF chip-set is recognised, then it is possible to save the actual configuartion of the GPS receiver as the default configuration. If GPS port specify a file as data source, then this test verifies if the specified simulation file contains NMEA data.

GPS port
COM port or file providing GPS data. Either the COM port of the GPS receiver will be specified here or a file will be chosen as data source.
Only occupied COM ports between COM0: and COM9: will be offered.

Port rate
Needed data rate to receive GPS data. If the GPS receiver needs a data rate not offered at default, then every value can be entered.
This input is disabled if GPS port specifies File.

Simulation file
Specify the name of a text file containing NMEA data. This file may be generated before by the logging function of GPStant.
This input is disabled if GPS port specifies a COM port as source for GPS data.
The button next to the input field allows to search for a GPS file.

Time synchronisation
If enabled date and time will be automatically synchronised with the received GPS data after the first GPS-fix.
This option is disabled if GPS data are read from a file.
